„Szczęśliwa Kura”

This is a nationwide farm monitoring program run by Swojski Sklepik Sp. z o.o., covering farms that raise laying hens producing free-range eggs.

All participating farms follow standardized methods of housing and feeding the hens. Thanks to this, we consistently deliver eggs of the same great taste and high quality.

By purchasing “Szczęśliwa Kura . PL” eggs, you can be sure that the eggs come from Poland and from hens raised in systems based on the so-called “Five Freedoms” of animal welfare, which form the foundation of modern and responsible farming:

1
Freedom from hunger and thirst Continuous access to fresh water and nutritious, balanced feed.
2
Freedom from discomfort Appropriate living conditions, including bedding, perches, nesting areas, and access to outdoor space.
3
Freedom from pain, injury, and disease Ongoing veterinary care and preventive health measures.
4
Freedom to express natural behavior The ability to forage, dust bathe, spend time outdoors, and move in a natural rhythm.
5
Freedom from fear and stress A calm environment, no overcrowding, and minimization of stress factors.

From hen to packaging

Free-range hens, during periods when sanitary restrictions do not apply, have access to open space, daylight, and natural environmental stimuli. That is why we refer to them as “happy hens.” This is a simplified expression referring to the high level of welfare provided to them, in accordance with applicable standards and our internal guidelines.

In our understanding, the term “traditional” (“swojskie”) does not mean backyard production. Instead, it refers to the traditional nature of farming, natural living conditions, and a local, family-based farm model. It stands in contrast to anonymous, large-scale industrial production with maximum stocking density.
